ENGLAND FINISH ON 399/9 AGAINST SOUTH AFRICA

Jos Buttler's wonderful century led England to a fantastic total of 399 in the first ODI against South Africa at the Manguang Oval in Bloemfontein.

Timely fifties from Alex Hales, Joe Root and Ben Stokes all added to Buttler's stunning innings, punnishing South Africa's wayward bowlers.

The Proteas could live to regret leaving out young Kagiso Rabada whilst Wayne Parnell pulling out of the warm-up match may have added to South Africa's poor bowling figures.

With the talent South Africa have in their batting line-up they are definitely not out of this one but England can clearly be considered red hot favourites.
