JAKE LEHMANN SECURES FINAL BALL WIN FOR ADELAIDE STRIKERS

Jake Lehmann smashed a six off the final ball to seal a thrilling victory for the Adelaide Strikers over the Hobart Hurricanes in the Big Bash League.

Needing four runs for an emphatic victory and Lehmann, son of Australian head coach Darren, facing his first ball of the innings, the left-hander swung for the rope to give the Strikers a six-wicket triumph at the Adelaide Oval.

It was another crushing defeat for the Hurricanes who previously suffered a tantilising one-run defeat to the Perth Scorchers in their last outing and now look set to miss out on this season's semi-finals.
