Lancashire CCC Cricket Helmet Storeroom Tour

Manchester, UK: Ahead of the 2026 County Championship season, Masuri visited the Lancashire Men's and Women's squads at Emirates Old Trafford, and went behind the scenes with their Sports Medicine team to show how their cricket helmets are stored and prepared for the upcoming season.

Lancashire Women's Physiotherapist Sam Cheema detailed the storeroom set-up, highlighting how the helmet storage and preparations differ for certain match-day fixtures:

"On the Women’s side we’re preparing for a tour out to South Africa. So we need to make sure all the players and their size profiles have a spare, (that) they have a back-up with them."

Lancashire Women's Physiotherapist, Sam Cheema.

"Players will obviously travel with their own. If we go on the pitch, (and) someone’s been hit in the head, we need to check the helmet so we always have to have a back-up."

"With the First team we’ll always take the (TF3D) case with us and we’ll get as many helmets as we need for that game and the different sizing profiles."

"For home games we tend to have that box up in the dressing room and the relevant sizes for the right batters that are out there in the middle down by the dug-out so they can get on as quick as possible when they’re needed."

Cheema also highlighted the impressive player feedback since TF3D was introduced to the public (and professional) market:

"The TF3D has been a complete game changer in that people feel it fits so snugly on their head."

The new TF3D-PRO sideplate sticker are a feature on this year's County helmets.

"Impacts have been less intensely felt by players at least anecdotally when they've come in to speak to me."

The new custom Masuri x Lancashire CCC TF3D travel cases were also on full display at Old Trafford during Masuri's visit, the stylish storage cases being used across both the Men's, Women's and Academy squads for helmet transportation and protection.
