Helmet Safety Feature - Guernsey Cricket
The cricket helmet is without doubt one of the most important pieces of equipment in the modern-day game, having evolved considerably over the past two decades to match the demands of an increasingly revolutionised sport with ever-growing participation.
With the introduction of the British Safety Standards surrounding cricket head protection in 2013 (BS 7928:2013), Masuri firmly established itself as an industry leader in the head protection space – developing cricket helmets that are the preferred choice for both professional and grassroots players around the world.
As of 2026, Masuri partners with many major cricket organisations around the world (and their subsidiary leagues) as the preferred Head and Neck Protection supplier for their players. These partnerships allow Masuri to work closely with players on personalised fittings as well as important education surrounding head and neck safety in the modern game.
As a general guide for fitting helmets, Masuri recommends the following markers to ensure a comfortable and proper fit:
- Measure head circumference to find out helmet shell size (Masuri Size Guide)
- Try on helmet – the peak should sit just above the eyebrow line and not be too tight on the top of the head (visual video guide)
- Adjust front and rear sweat foam padding to stabilise the fit
- Ensure helmet grill has sufficient clearance from the face and chin

In the last few years, developments in helmet technology have seen Masuri introduce TrueFit 3D, a revolutionary new design in modern helmets that incorporates 3D-printed lattice structures internally. These lattice pads are custom printed to players’ individual head shapes from a head scan, allowing for a fully bespoke fit and in-turn providing unparalleled comfort and protection.
With the addition of certified neck protection such as the StemGuard Lite 2.0, cricket helmets have developed into better all-encompassing head protection for players at every level of the game, increasing confidence and entertainment at the crease.
Adding a modern touch to today’s helmets, Masuri now also incorporates a painted outer finish into their helmet range, allowing for increasingly bespoke club designs.
